In this 2006 fast-action crime drama, directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, LA hitman Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) is infected by a rival gang with the "Beijing cocktail", a deadly poison designed to attack the victim's adrenal system, giving them just hours left to live.
In order to stay alive Chelios must keep his adrenaline maxed-out anyway he can, which means causing carnage on a stolen LAPD motorbike, having sex with girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart) in public, searing his hand on a red hot waffle iron and embarking on the most expensive shopping mall escape since The Blues Brothers.
It's silly, over the top and unashamedly violent. It's also extremely enjoyable with an original concept and a likable leading star who is great as the doomed hitman.
