Columbo

The host of a TV show is threatened by a rival, who has discovered evidence of his murky past. The presenter does away with his blackmailer using poisoned cigarettes, and seems to have pulled off the perfect crime - but a certain shabby sleuth is soon on the case and finds a few things that fail to add up.
