Lovable slackers Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson) accidentally burn down the convenience store they've worked in for years, and have to find themselves jobs elsewhere. The hapless pair settle on Moobys, a fast-food restaurant with a gorgeous boss (Rosario Dawson).
Although still enjoying their innate geekiness with debates about Star Wars and The Lord Of The Rings, the pair can't avoid the ever-approaching threat of real life. Changes are afoot, with Dante soon to be married, while even reliable stoners Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) seem to be growing up. Can the two layabout heroes stay true to their loser roots?
It took director Kevin Smith 12 years to return to the comedy franchise that made his name. Released in 2006, this amiable sequel to Clerks still has plenty of slacker comedy, but with a sweet undertone about growing up. Rosario Dawson adds a touch of glamour as the super-sexy burger boss, and altogether Clerks II is a very worthy sequel.
