Kabir Khan is the popular captain of the Indian national men's hockey team until he is unfairly disgraced and driven out of the game. Years later, returning to redeem his reputation, he becomes the coach of the Indian women's national hockey team but discovers he is in charge of an amateurish and unruly bunch of young women.
