Powerful romantic drama about a man's bid for survival on a desert island following a plane crash. Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks), a hard working employee of Fedex snatches a few days between flights with his loving family and fiancee, to whom he proposes, before rushing off on his next assignment.
But his plane crashes during a storm and as the only survivor he must train himself survive away from civilisation. Over the next four years he learns valuable survival skills, before finally finding a way to escape the island and return to civilisation. But can he go back to the life he left behind four years ago?
