A shell-shocked US submarine crew embarks on a routine mission in the Pacific during the Second World War. After stopping to pick up the three survivors of a torpedoed British hospital ship, an unrelenting series of terrifying and sinister events drives the crew into madness as they wander the claustrophobic corridors of their cramped vessel.
