Western starring Rory Calhoun. While drifting through Apache lands, loner Logan Cates runs into a number of people who have been threatened or attacked by the Native Americans, who are determined to expel the incomers from their domain - or kill them. Logan decides the safest immediate response is to hole up at a canyon that should be easy to defend and which also has its own water supply. It's not long before he's joined by a disparate bunch, including cowboys and cavalry soldiers, who appoint him leader. But, as wave after wave of Apache skirmishes take their toll, and the water source begins to dry up, it starts to look as though the settlers may not be able to hold out for ever.
