Caught in a terrible drought, meercat Billy (voice of James Corden) embarks on an epic quest across Africa's Okavango Delta to find water for his family. Accompanied by his best pal, vegetarian lion Socrates (voice of Stephen Fry), Billy soon crosses paths with other animals whose homes have been destroyed by man-made disasters; including displaced polar bear Sushi (voice of Bella Hudson), and Toby (voice of Jason Donovan), a kangaroo who has wandered rather far from the Outback.
Realising that their problems are all man-made, the animals band together to destroy the massive dam that is depriving the area of water and let the humans know that their behaviour is having a devastating effect on the world's wildlife.
