Missed them first time round? Well, here's your chance to catch up with the hottest new show on TV. Hoping to become financially independent, Ryan gets a job at the Crab Shack. At the restaurant, he meets Donnie. When Donnie invites Ryan and Seth to a party in the old neighbourhood, Ryan is reluctant to reconnect with his past, while Seth is anxious to find out more about this alternative, anti-Newport lifestyle. Moreover, Ryan finally finds the confidence to ask out Marissa, who is taking a break from her relationship with Luke. The planned date, however, is on the same night that Donnie has invited Seth out, and everyone ends up at yet another beach house party. Armed with a gun, Donnie does not make any friends at the party and ends up shooting Luke in the course of an argument, a superficial wound that may have been worse if not for Ryan's interjection in the mayhem. On the parental front, Sandy offers to assist with Jimmy's legal troubles.
