The Golden Age

Comedy by Arthur Mathews, set in Broadcasting House during the 1930s, a period when the corporation was in its infancy. The story focuses on the relationship between the BBC's fictional Director of Programmes, played by Downton Abbey's Robert Bathurst, and his assistant Mabel, as they attempt to keep the business moving in the right direction. First aired in 2012.
