The Closer: Blindsided

Brenda is removed from investigative duty by the department psychiatrist after shooting a serial killer, and tasked with accompanying a journalist on a routine patrol. They soon find themselves under sniper attack and the writer is killed. Brenda assumes she was the intended victim, but evidence mounts that this may not have been the case.
