The Bible: Hope (Part 3)

Drama series. King Nebuchadnezzar besieges Jerusalem and forces the exiled Jews to work as slaves in Babylon. Decades later, Cyrus of Persia conquers Babylon and allows the Jews to return to their homeland. Over 500 years later, the Angel Gabriel tells Mary that she will bear the Son of God, but her new baby is in immediate danger from King Herod. As Jesus reaches manhood, he is baptised by John and tempted by Satan. He emerges from the desert and recruits his first disciple, Peter.
