From the imagination of writer Simon Moore, came one of the most ambitious productions for television in years, The 10th Kingdom, and fans of the show will be delighted to learn that Sky One is offering another chance to see the first series again from Thursday 22 February. It is an extraordinary, ten-hour fantasy drama set in a mythical world where magic and fairy tale characters still exist.
The series follows the thrilling adventures of Tony and Virginia (John Larroquette and Kimberly Williams), a father and daughter from New York, who unwittingly find themselves in a parallel universe known as The Nine Kingdoms. The pair join forces with an ambivalent character called Wolf (Scott Cohen) and a noble dog, Prince. Together, these unlikely heroes battle against the Wicked Queen (Dianne Wiest) to restore peace and harmony to the land.
Even if you haven't seen the show before, there's no doubt you will recognise the stars. Pretty Kimberly Williams played Steve Martin's daughter in Father Of The Bride and is a dedicated theatre actress, whilst John Larroquette is a five-time Emmy winner who has appeared in a wide variety of film and TV shows, most notably the four-time Emmy-nominated John Larroquette Show. Film credits for the gorgeous Scott Cohen include The Mambo Kings, Jacob's Ladder and Gia but he himself admits that he is not a well-known star and was delighted to be chosen for the role of Wolf. Dianne Wiest, one of Hollywood's most talented and versatile actresses, has starred in countless films and won Oscars for Best Supporting Actress in Bullets Over Broadway and Hannah and her Sisters.
