A hit-and-run driver kills a man working on the campaign for an aspiring senator, but it soon becomes a case of national security when closer examination of the video footage makes it clear he was murdered. The agents' job is to figure out whether it is an isolated incident or part of a politically motivated plot that might put others in danger - and most of the pressure is on Kensi, who takes the victim's old job and goes undercover in the campaign office
