Police drama series. A case from 13 years earlier comes back to haunt Lewis when the forensic evidence used against serial killer Graham Lawrie is called into question. While Lawrie remains locked up, a policeman is lured to an isolated location by a hoax call and takes a slater's hammer to the back of his skull. As Lawrie wins his freedom, Lewis joins Hathaway on the case. But Maddox's life is hanging by a thread and Lewis's convictions clash badly with Hathaway's doubts. Can they put aside their differences and become as good a team as they once were?
