Max heads to an emergency callout while feeling full of energy after his dialysis, but as events go badly wrong, he is forced to reckon with what he can and cannot do as both a doctor and a father. Stevie angrily has a patient and his wife removed from the ED for verbal abuse, but realises she may have made a terrible mistake when the test results come back
