Stevie is crestfallen when she asks Dylan to nominate her for a clinical lead development opportunity, only for him to respond that she lacks the necessary people skills. Determined to prove him wrong, she goes to treat a patient who has collapsed outside the church where Paige's choir was singing. Paige feels annoyed by Rash's interfering, Marty processes his break up with Adi, and Jan is saddened by the unexpected death of an old friend.
