Ruth's dreams of a happy Christmas with her brother Jonathan are dashed when she realises he has been stealing from her to fund his drug addiction. May is adjudged the least promising trainee, and allows her frustrations to get the better of her by playing a trick on Lenny that threatens to have far-reaching consequences for them both.
