An unidentified woman found dead in an alleyway appears to have taken a heroin overdose, but further inspection reveals someone may have had a hand in administering the fatal drugs. Mac recognises the victim as conspiracy-obsessed Tessa James, and as he works to explore whether there was truth in her stories, the investigation leads to an elite gentlemen's club that has traces of blood on the walls.
