After a small plane crashes at a Miami beach and the pilot dies, Horatio finds remnants of a chemical used in making cocaine. It seems that the victim's business partner may have sabotaged the aircraft, but when evidence suggests that the pilot may have died before the crash, the focus turns towards the victim's neighbours: the wealthy residents of a secluded cul-de-sac.
