The CSI team is shocked when one of their own is killed in a bank robbery and Catherine is left reeling when she discovers that the central figure in the case could be casino owner Sam Braun, her long-time mentor and father figure. Meanwhile, Grissom can no longer hide his hearing loss, so reluctantly seeks advice from Dr Robbins.
