The doctors advise Kitty to have a risky bone marrow transplant after her collapse at the beach. Later she asks Sarah to bring her a shoebox filled with love letters from an older politician she had a relationship with after leaving college as she doesn't want Robert to see them. Kevin gets in a row with Robert when he discovers that he's been going to see a woman. Kevin is mortified to discover that the woman is a psychiatrist who's been helping him deal with Kitty's illness
