Ray Winstone stars in this darkly funny one-off drama set within the ruthless world of Premiership football. All in the Game candidly portrays the changing face of football, where money and power have become the driving forces behind the sport.
From the locker room to the boardroom, All in the Game rips open the underbelly of our national game to reveal the seedy and cut-throat dealings of a Premiership club. Football manager and local hero Frankie (Winstone) is torn between his loyalty to his family and the club he loves. But when shady deals and underhand negotiations with his football agent son Martin (Dyer) look set to finally make his fortune, the pressure hots up. His actions rapidly spiral into extreme and immoral territory and the game is almost forgotten. Chairman George Swaine (Marsden) has sunk everything he's got into buying his son Jack his favourite football club, but his intentions are muddied by the greed of those around him, although no amount of money can buy the love he really craves. The relationships between fan and club, player and manager, and father and son are seen in the dirty, manipulative, money-making machine that modern football has become. There are no heroes in this game.
