A Slave of Fashion. David's father takes up art, much to his amusement, until he has to pose for a portrait. "Being the biography of a bachelor", 'A Life of Bliss' was a radio series that ran from July 1953 to September 1969, reaching over 100 episodes. The role of tongue-tied 'expert in confusion' David Bliss was played by David Tomlinson for the first seven episodes (none of these exist) and then George Cole took over for the remainder of the series. There was also a TV version in 1969. Other regular cast members were Diana Churchill as David's sister Anne Fellows, Colin Gordon as his brother-in-law Tony, Sheila Sweet as his girlfriend Zoe Hunter and Percy Edwards as 'Psyche' the Dog. Written by Godfrey Harrison. Produced by Leslie Bridgemont First broadcast on the BBC Home Service in December 1958.
