A hunter from the Amazon rainforest trades places with a civil servant in London, as the adventure travelogue continues. Guyanese Lionel, who has lived as part of the self-sustaining Machousi tribe, learns that a life of comfort in the British capital comes at a cost that many are unable to afford, and plans to communicate this to his city-obsessed children back home. Meanwhile, civil servant John discovers the essential value of community as he visits Lionel's village Surama, where the arrival of money and capitalism threaten to end a way of life that has survived for centuries
