The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt (2004)

This is the story of Columbian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt, who was kidnapped on 23 February 2002 by the FARC, and her family's desperate attempts to free her and keep her political dream alive. Disillusioned by the violence and corruption that dominated Columbian politics, Ingrid set up her own political party and began a fight for justice and honesty that was courageous and dangerous in equal measure.
