Michael Berkeley is joined by American writer Rachel Eliza Griffiths, who creates poetry that resonates with music. She has also written a novel, and her most recent book is memoir The Flower Bearers, which deals with loss, including the sudden death of her closest friend. Less than a year later, she found herself beside her husband Salman Rushdie's hospital bed after the knife attack that nearly claimed his life. She talks about her life and career and picks music by Schumann, Bach, Puccini and Nina Simone.
