Documentary following four families as they compete in a prestigious haggis contest. All hail from small butcher shops and each has ambitions of winning the World Haggis Championship, staged at the Dewar Centre in Perth. Behind the fun, the bravado, the regional one-upmanship, the toon v teuchter banter, the heirloom recipes and the secret spices, this film also reveals a wider story - one of Scottish pride in its food supply chain, the importance of the community shop and the role that such dishes can play in protecting and celebrating a nation's common history.
