Expedition Volcano

Documentary following scientists studying some of the world's most dangerous active volcanos in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The first of two films explores Nyiragongo, which has erupted twice in the past 50 years, most recently in 2002, when it devastated the nearby city of Goma. However, it lies in a region troubled by war and humanitarian crises, which has made study of the volcano difficult. Former Royal Marine Aldo Kane is given the task of ensuring the team's safety.
