Documentary about the writing team of Alan Simpson and Ray Galton, creators of such TV classics as Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe and Son. They talk about life, laughter and work with author and broadcaster Nigel Williams, how they hit the big time with Hancock's Half-Hour in the 1950s, followed it up with rag and bone sitcom Steptoe and Son in the 1960s, won lifetime achievement awards from the Writers' Guild in 1997 and were awarded OBEs in 2000.
