Call handlers answer a 999 call from a distressed mother whose baby has accidentally poured boiling tea over himself. Paramedic Andy is called out to an 86-year-old woman trapped beneath a car, and his colleague Lydia helps a 35-year-old man who is feeling suicidal. A fast-response car is dispatched when a three-year-old is hit by a vehicle, and Andy joins the police when a 13-year-old is stabbed on the way home from school.
