A Life in Ten Pictures

Return of the programme that explores the lives of notable people, beginning with a look at Russian president Vladimir Putin's rise to power through 10 defining photos, examining how he has used imagery, TV and the media to control the narrative and consolidate his power. The film charts Putin's progress from an unremarkable childhood in Leningrad (now St Petersburg) to KGB agent in Dresden in East Germany, where the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union two years later changed everything.
