More resourceful and intrepid self-builders transform their dream designs into practical living space as the Australian architecture show returns for a seventh series, presented by Peter Maddison. Hardworking GP Zewlan Moor and her electrician husband Tom Naulty, who is now a stay-at-home dad to their two children, want an architect-designed house in a great location on a shoestring budget. This was looking unlikely until they found an inexpensive plot on a ridge above a motorway at Ocean Shores in New South Wales. Now all they need is an architecture firm that's inventive enough to design them a stylish home for very little money. Their modest, forward-thinking philosophy is helpful as they naturally veer away from lavish floor plans and luxurious finishes in favour of a sustainable, economical approach to creating a compact, simple and modest home.
