Grand Designs: New Zealand (Episode 2)

The New Zealand version of the architecture show featuring fascinating stories of ambitious, innovative homeowners creating the house of their dreams returns for a third series, presented by Chris Moller. Ash Brownrigg has skied all over the world and always dreamed of owning a log home like the ones he has seen in the snow of the Alps. He even tried building one himself in the past, but sold it many years ago. Now he's found the perfect spot in Horopito, at the base of Mount Ruapehu on the North Island, and is getting a new log home constructed by a company that uses traditional techniques. But his daughter Natalie, who has studied interior architecture, isn't certain of his tastes. She finds log homes old fashioned and is encouraging her father to go modern - at least inside the new house. Could it become a battle of wills?
