Grand Designs: Clapham

Two years ago Anjana and David Devoy started building a contemporary home that curved elegantly around a protected chestnut tree in their back garden. Having outgrown their tiny and cluttered Victorian house, they planned to build a modern, minimalist curved-shaped house out of concrete and glass in their back garden. Kevin was worried. The couple had no building experience whatsoever and yet were determined to take sole charge of the project. It was a technically difficult project and after months of literally putting it together with their own bare hands it was still little more than a shell. Now they've finally finished and Kevin returns to find out if Anjana and David have succeeded in building the quirkily creative home of their dreams.
