DIY SOS: Edinburgh

For the 2012 BBC charity appeal, Nick Knowles and the team come to the aid of a centre in Edinburgh for children with additional needs. The Yard is an indoor and outdoor centre that helps 1,500 youngsters and their families each week, providing a space where families can gain much-needed respite while their children make friends, develop their confidence and learn life skills. However the building is in urgent need of a complete overhaul, so the SOS builders are joined by local tradespeople giving their time for nothing to help this worthy cause
