DIY SOS: Dad in Despair

a rescue team of Diy do-gooders. Every home has its fair share of Diy disasters, bodged jobs, abandoned tasks and things we never quite got round to starting. But now help is at hand. Two presenters take a dedicated team of Diy experts around the country, encouraging those who have previously failed at Diy to develop renewed confidence with a little guidance and finish a project that they and their long-suffering partner, neighbour or parent would be proud of. Each week the viewers have the chance to express their opinion and vote for the most deserving case out of the three appeals that Diy Sos feature. Once the state of the nation's homes has been exposed, the public - either out of outrage or empathy - grab their phones. Of course they have to wait a whole week to see who got the sympathy vote.
