DIY SOS: A Home for the Howards

Vanessa and Jason Howard live in the idyllic village of Fordcombe in Kent. Their cottage had been in the family for generations so it felt really special when they moved in with their two sons Keiran and Cameron. The interior had barely changed since Victorian times so Jason cracked on with the Diy, helped enthusiastically by Cameron. Tragically Cameron died of an undiagnosed brain tumour and a year later the family are still devastated and in shock. The local community have rallied around the Howards and we received numerous requests to come in and help. Who were we to refuse? With the support of a secret 'b' team of locals we raced in to create a stunning kitchen/diner and a sitting room. Julia was on form creating strange designs with tea cups and a new woman chippy ruffled Mark's feathers. At the end of it all friends and family turned up en masse to watch the reveal. Maybe now the Howards can begin the painful journey of moving on.
