The country's best young bakers go head to head. First there were 40 and now only six bakers remain. It's the semi-final, and those still standing have to go into baking battle to win a place in the final. Sam and Mark host as the judges Allegra McEvedy and Graham Hornigold examine the bakers' knowledge with a series of tough technical tests. Will they be able to replicate Graham's fine piping skills? Will any of them be able to spot and rectify the deliberate mistake in Allegra's blueberry muffins? Can they identify five different types of pastry? If they survive this they get to show off their sculpting skills, as well as their baking prowess, by creating show-stopping bread buns in the shapes of animals, but just four bakers will go forward to the final. Who will bake their way to success?
