The beautiful, medieval towns and inspiring deep river gorges of the Tarn and Garonne region of Southern France are, as ever, hugely in demand with UK property buyers. She's saved £50,000, and combining that with a new mortgage, is looking to invest up to £175,000 on a renovated rural farmhouse capable of accommodating friends and family, including sister Jo, a top city accountant who is coming along on the scouting trip to make sure Nikki sticks to the plan.
