Sandwiched between the Atlantic coast and the Pyrenees yet still relatively unknown, Pau in the southwest of France is fast becoming the next big place to buy across the Channel. Nightclub owner Mark Bowden and wife Helen, a local radio presenter, are desperate to buy here and escape their hectic lives in Blackpool. They have up to £200,000 to spend on a holiday home which could turn into a relocation with young children Morgan and Rees. But can Amanda Lamb square Helen's dream of doing up an old French farmhouse with Mark's wish to just relax and put his feet up?
