A Place in the Sun: Figueira Da Foz

Figueira da Foz on Portugal's little-known Costa de Prata or "Silver Coast" is an unspoilt coastline far less developed than the Algarve. With Portugal's economy on a temporary go-slow, Ben Muditt and Kerry Williams plan to pick up a bargain. They're going to re-mortgage and rent out their Bristol home, plough in all their savings, and spend £180,000 on a property to which they want to re-locate, and that must also be big enough to run as a profitable youth hostel for backpackers and surfers.
