She's a business woman who's spent 12 years in the States but wants to buy a holiday home she can retire to in the place she loves more than anywhere else: France. She has a sensible budget of £95,000 but the place she buys must be within a days travel from London by ferry and car so that Susan's precious cats Maosi and Koschka can have a holiday home too.
