American Cameron Cartiere and her French husband Nick Strauss call upon the skills of property experts Jonnie Irwin and Jasmine Harman to help them to find a £250,000 love nest by the sea. Cameron has accepted a lectureship in an art college in Devon and, along with London-based Nick, longs to find a second home to use as their romantic weekend rendezvous. With their shared love of the sea, Cameron wants to find a relaxing retreat in her favourite English county, Dorset, an area easily accessible from both London and Devon. Nick, however, dreams of buying a pied-a-terre in Brittany, an area that is also easily accessible from Devon and London and the region in France where he spent all his summer holidays as a child. Will the spectacular sea views of Dorset convince Nick to remain in the UK, or will the charms of the French way of life seduce Cameron into buying their romantic retreat a mere boat trip away from Devon?
