The Goes Wrong Show: The Spirit of ChristmasSeries 1, episode 1Directed by (unconfirmed) Martin Dennis The first of six 30-minute plays featuring the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society sees the cast taking on an overly ambitious endeavour - the story of Santa and his elves trying to bring festive happiness to a sad little girl. However, an already surly Santa indulges in too much Christmas sherry and contrives to ruin everything. Crackers explode, an elf is trapped for the duration of the show and the toy machine tries to eat the snowman. Prolific actor Robert Grove, screen-hogging Sandra Wilkinson and artistically mistrusted Dennis Tyde struggle to contain the chaos.
