The Zeta Project

In this animated Batman Beyond spinoff, an Infiltration Unit called Zeta is a government robot designed to destroy targeted individuals. However, while observing a target, Zeta experiences a crisis about goodness and the value of life and finds it can no longer kill. The newly enlightened Zeta rebels against its programming and abandons its government service.

Zeta is pursued by the authorities who think it has been reprogrammed by their enemies, and tries to bring Zeta in for reprogramming. Zeta goes on the run and makes friends with a 15-year-old runaway, Ro Rowen. Together, they search for Zeta's creator, Dr. Selig, who they hope will prove Zeta's right to freedom.
