The South Bank Show: Revisited: Victoria Wood

Series 4, episode 0

Almost 15 years after she was first featured on The South Bank Show, Victoria Wood talks honestly and humorously to Melvyn Bragg about a career that began with a three-minute slot on New Faces in the 1970s. Since then, she has written and performed in sketch comedy, sitcoms, stand-up tours, musicals and television drama. She was last profiled in 2007 when she had just written, produced and starred in Housewife 49 which won two BAFTAs. Today, Victoria Wood has two new dramas in production, including one based around the early career of Morecambe and Wise, in which she plays Morecambe's mother.
