Puccini's La Rondine direct from New York, in a performance from 2009. Set in Paris, the opera has a much lighter musical style than the composer's better-known works. Angela Gheorghiu and Roberto Alagna, who were married at the time, play the lead romantic rôles in a piece they have performed around the world and helped put back onto the operatic map.
