Great Art: Edvard Munch

Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch is known to most as the man who composed 1893 painting The Scream, one of the most iconic images in all of art. But interest in his other works is also huge, as proved in 2013 when the 150th anniversary of his birth was celebrated with a `once-in-a-lifetime" exhibition co-hosted by Oslo's National Museum and Munch Museum. This film follows the process of creating such an ambitious show, as 220 of Munch's paintings were brought together and also looks back at the life of a man who lived from the mid-19th century through to the German occupation of Norway in the Second World War
