Fake or Fortune?: Corot

Presenter Fiona Bruce and art expert Philip Mould investigate a dreamlike landscape painting, purported to be by one of the forefathers of Impressionism and one of the most important artists of the 19th century, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. The picture was purchased in the 1970s by Sally Green's late husband Derek, a country antiques dealer, primarily for its impressive frame. Derek was always intrigued by the painting and wondered whether or not it was genuine. Sally is now on a mission to finish what he started. However, the painting was previously turned down by leading experts on Corot's work, so Fiona and Philip have to find new evidence to help persuade them to change their minds
